METASTABLE ASSUMPTIONS

METASTABLE ASSUMPTIONS

Metastable assumptions unfolds as a non-figurative space — a microcosm of lines, shapes and colors in motion, where the elements mutually influence each other and find their place in composition.

Metastable Assumptions is a series of mixed media and relief works, created on a vintage Korrex press and built up in three layers of exclusive papers from Somerset, Awagami and Fabriano. Fine paper cutouts are integrated into the composition, adding a sensual depth to each work. The works are meticulously framed in hand-built frames with museum-quality glass and measure 61.5 × 44 cm. The series is published in an exclusive edition of 20 copies, each individually numbered and signed by the artist Peter Stoltze.
